At Era Uma Vez we promote children with the experience of a Brazilian childhood. Era Uma Vez allows children who have a Brazilian background and Portuguese as a Heritage language to connect with the Brazilian culture through Brazilian music, folk stories, traditional games, cooking experiences, and language! We provide Portuguese classes in small and large groups, during our sessions, children explore Portuguese in a fun, diverse, creative, and respectful way. Children connect and immerse themselves in the Brazilian Culture during our sessions as well as build positive and strong relationships with peers with similar backgrounds.
We strongly believe in the attachment theory, which means the core of our program is affection, and building positive and strong relationships with children. We believe that children learn best when they feel safe, secure, and included. We respect each child's pace and listen to the children's needs and interests to be embedded in our program.
